Jane Tinney has recently joined the art scene in North Carolina. She grew up in New York State and moved to Florida until 3 years ago. Jane has 3 beautiful and creative adult children and 3 grandchildren.
Jane is an award-winning artist of many modalities. She has entered shows in Florida, New York State and now in North Carolina.
She sculpts and paints and draws and likes to experiment with mixed mediums. Painting murals in clients homes has been an enjoyable experience. Refurbishing furniture and adding her artistic touches to the commissioned piece has been very rewarding.
Jane has participated in Art in Public Places in and around Florida. Fiberglass flamingos, peacocks and manatees were sponsored and proceeds were donated to a designated charity. The artists designed and executed art work for their sculpture. Much like Airlie Gardens project. She is now showing her art here in North Carolina. Southport, Seagrove and Wilmington have exhibited Jane’s work and she is a proud winner in these shows.
I am especially happy as I quiet myself into the world of creativity. My work has a sense of whimsy(most of the time) and reveals itself as I develop my ideas. An example can be, a little unusual bird-like creature can appear, and its such a wonderful surprise! My desire is to share my art with others and to hear what their responses are, as they experience the piece.
